Molecular weight : 89.09

Property :White crystal or crystalline powder; Soluble in water, slightly dissolves in ethanol, does not dissolve in ether, has fragrance, sweet taste.

Quality Standard :Conform to the Japan Ajinomoto AJI-92 Quality Standard.

Main Functions and Use :

D-Alanine is one kind of important organic chiral source, mainly
applies in the chiral medicine, chiral chemical additive, chiral auxiliary and so on domains; In the pharmacy and food industry, it is used as the chiral source for the chiral synthesis. As one optically active organic acid, it has the nonreplaceable function in certain chiral compound's asymmetric synthesis process. At present, it is mainly used as the alanine protecting agent in the new broad spectrum antibiotic, the D- propyl amine alcohol and polypeptide synthetic process, as well as for synthesizing new sweeting agent Alitame.
